Abba-Zvi Bistrin, of blessed memory

From the depths of our hearts we express great condolences to our sister Chaya-Sarah and all her family, and together with them we weep over the great disaster that has befallen us, for on Monday of the week of the portion "And the whole house of Israel shall bewail the burning", the 24th of Nisan, there passed away her husband and their father, the perfectly righteous Abba-Zvi Bistrin, of blessed memory, aged seventy-three, who bore on his shoulders the office of the rabbinate in the town of Drohiczyn on the Bug. Among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem may they be comforted, and among them we too: Eliezer Krutzel, his wife and their family; Esther-Rachel Segal, her husband and her family.
