Next Wednesday, 4 Elul, falls the thirtieth day since the funeral of H. N. Bialik of blessed memory in Tel Aviv. We print in "Our Stage" sayings of the great deceased that were recorded in the Palestinian press.

For the thirtieth day since the death of H. N. Bialik.

A short time ago the terrible news arrived from Vienna: Bialik, our great poet, is dead! The Hebrew people received this dreadful news as if struck by thunder. The press wrote about all the events of the calamity in every detail and particular. They told of his childhood and of the source of Bialik's poetry. With the death of this exalted personality, the Hebrew people has lost a great treasure. The Hebrew people is now left without a poet to weep over its suffering and sing its song. Cruel death came and cut the thread of his life. Bialik's remains were brought to the Land of Israel, and he was buried in his place of residence, in Tel Aviv. Bialik is dead... but we will carry on the teaching of his life!
