   News of the death of the well-known American labour activist and recent devoted friend of working Eretz Israel, vice-president of the city of New York, Mr. B. Vladeck, has caused deep mourning among the Pruzhany population. Vladeck was one of the most prominent personalities in America and stood at the head of various relief campaigns for Polish Jewry. He also did much among our Pruzhany landsmen in America in donating the fund of 5,000 dollars which was handed over for Pruzhany into the keeping of the ORT society in Warsaw. Vladeck was 52 years old. Honour his memory!
