Horrific tragedy. In the village of Katialka, Pruzhany gmina, the peasant Grzegorz Wołos died suddenly last Tuesday the 21st. Grzegorz's sudden death so distressed his wife that she became dangerously ill; the next day their very small boy of 8 months suddenly became dangerously weak. In a hopeless condition the child was brought to Pruzhany to Dr. Goldfein. All efforts to keep the child alive did not succeed, and the boy died the same day. Yesterday, Thursday, the mother also died in great suffering. It is thought that the cause of the child's death was that the mother, who had been so deeply upset by her husband's death, nursed the child with poisoned milk. The tragic death of three souls within 3 days made a great impression.
